About Dr. Israelski Scheirman

Dr. Keri Israelski Scheirman is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Science with a double major in psychology and communications from Western Michigan University in 2004. She went on to receive both her Masters Degree and Doctorate in Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2006 and 2009. Dr. Keri specializes in work with children and adults and provides both therapy and comprehensive educational and psychological assessments for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, Learning Disorders, Intellectual Disability, Giftedness, individuals going through life changes, and individuals experiencing anxiety and depression. Her therapeutic approach is client centered and strength based. She uses Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Positive Psychology techniques. She also uses play, art, and bibliotherapy with her younger clients. Dr. Israelski has always had a special interest in sibling support. She has conducted research on coping processes and their perceived effectiveness in siblings of individuals diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorders. She is also a certified Sibshop facilitator and provides sibling support both through Sibshops as well as individual psychotherapy.

Dr. Israelski lives in Colorado with her husband, their two daughters, two energetic dogs, and sassy cat. In her free time, she loves going to the mountains and having outdoor adventures, making lotion and other skin care products, and relaxing with her family by the fireplace. She also really enjoys finding ways to live her life in a green and sustainable way and reducing her carbon footprint.
